DIIGO, beyond social bookmarking

This web 2.0 application allows to move a step further from social bookmarking: through a browser integrated toolbar, you can easily add notes to websites texts, allowing an activity of SOCIAL ANNOTATION, your annotations will be shared with other users, and in your account page you'll have the bunch of notes related to your researches.. the application has many adds-on, useful to post to your blog with one click, pieces of information and complex posts (with images tags...) and to create linkrolls for your websites (a linkroll is a list of link dinamically updated according to your preferences)

Meanwhile I have suggested to Diigo to even go one step further by making the annotation notes, pages of an AnnotationWiki.
Wouldn't it be great if the comments on this blog would be at the same time entries into a common database of a wiki? - fridemar
This wiki could be called AnnoWiki or
AnnoPedia and would be a shared resource of all cooperative Wikizens.

PS.:
Please support the idea of AnnoPedia by connecting your contributions here with the contributions there.
I am sure that in this creative community this comment will be approved. As an example to think about, for savety and for the sake of the greater community I leave it also as a social annotation via diigo :-)
